I LOVE YOUTUBE!!!!

I have been using YouTube for a couple of years, so I really didn't learn much new here. I am amazed at the numbers of different video and audio clips that I can find on YouTube. I have embedded a of treat for all of you Roy Mustang fans out there. Enjoy!

Quest # 11 Online Applications

Tech Trek has been a lot of fun! I must admit that it has been difficult to find time to complete the weekly quests on time, but it was worth it. I had no idea that online word processors existed! I had a difficult time attempting to publish the document I drafted in Zoho Writer. I just couldn't get it to work and didn't want to spend anymore time on it. I am not sure if I will use Zoho very much, but it is neat regardless.

Quest # 9: Wikis

I love the idea of using Wikis to supplement the library catalog! I often use Amazon when looking for customer reviews of books and AV. It would be great to direct patrons to the catalog for more information on the materials available through CCPL for them to check out.

I played around with the wiki started by Kathryn and Amanda. You can literally spend hours adding useful information and learning more about the topic of your choice with wikis. If anyone is interested in Anime and Manga, check out this wiki!

Quest 8: Social Networking

I actually don't care too much for Myspace. There is a sleazy quality to it that just turns me off. I made an account with Facebook and it is simple to use, but you really can't do any searches until you create an account. It is very simple, you are not asked to submit your life story as with some social networks.

Quest 7: Photosharing!

I actually found a picture of the winner of the costume contest at Anime Weekend Atlanta this year! The link follows in case you would like to see other AWA pics from this year's Con. I was unable to take pictures at the contest for a number of reasons, so I am really happy to find this image.

I created my own Del.icio.us account today. I really like the idea of having all of my favorite web pages available in one spot on any computer with Internet access.

Attention: All Librarians Who Love Anime!

I want to know if you enjoy Manga or Anime. Please reply if you are interested in a "Librarian's Anime Club". A good friend of mine suggested that we get serious about starting our own little group of fellow "Otakus". The details have not been flushed out yet, but I would love to know who is interested.
