(1) Scrapped Princess,
(2) Death Note, and
(3) Ah My Goddess
I bought the Scrapped Princess series at AWA last September and am finally getting around to watching it. It started out pretty slow (hence the reason why it has taken so long for me to finish it), but it picked up in the middle of the series and is actually quite good. If you are looking for a good fantasy Anime or just something a little different, I highly recommend it.
Ah My Goddess is very funny and is good for those days when you need something to lighten your mood. It is similar to many of the other harem Anime like Love Hina and Ai Yori Aoshi.
I am reading..........
(1) The Ghost in the Tokaido Inn by Dorothy and Thomas Hoobler,
(2) Fruits Basket # 18, and
(3) Story of a Girl by Sara Zarr
Kathy at STA recommended "The Ghost" to me a few months ago and I am really glad that she did! It is (YA) mystery set in 1735 Japan. The main character is a young teen who is the son of a merchant. He finds himself aiding a judge in capturing a thief on a journey with his father. I like this character because he is a noble and somewhat of a dreamer, yet very brave. It is a quick read at 213 pages.
Jana recommended Story of a Girl. It is basically about a teenage girl who has sex, is caught having sex, and then spends the rest of her teens trying to "make up" for her mistakes. All of you fellow librarians should take a look at this title. You might want some of your teens to read it.

I'm watching Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop, and Trigun. (And Bleach, of course.) Samurai Champloo is becoming a new favorite. After those, I don't know what I'll start next.
I'm reading the latest scans of Bleach and Inuyasha - anxiously awaiting the demise of that bastard Naraku (it's about damn time!) Also, reading through the official releases of Inuyasha (I'm up to vol. 31). Will start reading the FMA volumes that I have.
